Environmental Permitting and Compliance
As a key member of development teams, TEC provides expertise and support in project design to maximize usage and profitability while minimizing environmental impacts to critical ecological resources present onsite.
Following the design process, TEC prepares permit applications to obtain local, state and federal authorizations including:
Wetland Mitigation and Habitat Restoration
TEC conducts onsite reviews of properties to assess environmental resources present onsite. These assessments consist of:
- Establishing all natural communities present on the property including:
- wetlands,
- seagrasses and submerged aquatic vegetation, and
- protected upland habitats such as scrub communities.
- Assessing the suitability of onsite habitats to support listed species.
- Determining the presence or absence of species listed as endangered, threatened or species of special concern such as :
- gopher tortoises,
- Florida scrub-jays,
- red-cockaded woodpeckers,
- grasshopper sparrows,
- bald eagles,
- crested caracaras, and
- manatees.

- Florida Environmental Resources Permits
- Federal 404 Authorizations under the Clean Water Act.
- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Permits to relocate gopher tortoises.
- US Fish and Wildlife Service Authorizations to take listed species or their habitats under a Habitat Conservation Plan and Incidental Take Permit.
